Handy AutoComplete component

There's no native AutoComplete component in Flex SDK - a text field with shady hint inside, with suggestions popup appearing on first keystrokes. Per click, full list of suggestions could be popped.

Happily there are many solutions, for example classic AutoComplete component, it's enhanced version, and even moreĀ sophisticated components. It's not too much of effort to create such component, but it will be nice to have such component built into Flex SDK.

We also have an AutoCompleteComboBox component as part of the Flextras component line:

The plus side of purchasing from us, is that we respond when things go wrong.

We've heard nothing but complaints about the Adobe 'classic' one, however everyone loves Hillel's AutoComplete. He has done a great job.

Thanks for input Jeff!
Adobe AutoComplete just not fill in selected value if there's only one value in drop-down, otherwise it's ok.

Most people tell me the Adobe one has its quirks. But, honestly I've never used it so can't comment on what those may be.

I created the Flextras one before discovering the Adobe one.
